The New York City Saint Patrick’s Day Parade
If you’ll be near the Big Apple around St. Patrick’s Day, be sure to attend one of America’s most famous Saint Patrick’s Day parades.
The New York City Saint Patrick’s Day Parade will be held on Saturday, March 16th, 2013, and it begins on historic Fifth Avenue.
Gather friends and family, and then watch the festivities as the parade moves past stunning St. Patrick’s Cathedral on 50th St, onwards to 79th St.
This exciting, all-day event begins at 11:00 am and continues until 4:30 or 5 p.m.
Of course, the city’s spirited population will be out in droves on this special day, donning green hats, “Kiss Me, I’m Irish” t-shirts, and other appropriate gear.
To show your own love of your Emerald Isle heritage (and America), be sure to wear our Tara’s Diary St. Patrick’s Day Charm to the parade!
One side of the charm says, “100% percent Irish”, while another side says, “Born US”.
If you want a taste of one of the country’s most impressive and traditional St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, this annual NYC event is definitely the one to attend.
The Savannah Saint Patrick’s Day Parade
The charming Southern city of Savannah, Georgia also goes Gaelic on March 16th, 2013, as the Savannah Saint Patrick’s Day Parade kicks off. This joyous event is the world’s second-largest St. Paddy’s Day parade, and it features marching bands, Irish step dancers, the “greening” of a local fountain and Budweiser Clydesdale horses.
Because this celebration is so very elaborate, it’s truly unforgettable. The parade starts at 10:15 a.m. and lasts for three hours. The whole event has a Celtic festival feel, as Celtic Cross masses and other meaningful events will be taking place throughout the day.
Make the most of your Savannah St. Paddy’s Day experience by wearing our lovely Diamond & Emerald Silver Trinity Knot Cross to this special event.
