Described as “a taste of Ireland”, the annual Milwaukee Irish Fest is designed to capture the spirit of Gaelic music, dance, storytelling, and hospitality.
This family-oriented event even features its own special choir of young people, who’ve learned to sing the traditional songs of the Emerald Isle.
Featuring a cultural village, a roster of high-energy, talented musicians and dancers, and a fun Clan reunion, this summer get-together runs from August 18-21, 2011, and it takes place at the scenic Lakefront area of Milwaukee.
Starring performers at this year’s Irish festival include the Henry Girls, Derek Warfield and the Young Wolfe Tones, and Moya Brennan.
Other festival highlights include performances by the official Irish Fest Choir, and charming Irish stepdancing from Rince Nia Academy of Irish Dance.
There are plenty of fun things to see and do at this weekend event, including a showcase for Celtic Canines!
If you’re up for a little excitement and entertainment that also honors your Irish heritage, be sure to drop by and experience this wonderful annual event.
Gaelic food, drink, and festivities make this exciting social gathering a not-to-be-missed special occasion. To find out more, be sure to visit the festival website – Milwaukee Irish Fest.
