If you’ll be in La Crosse, Wisconsin this weekend, be sure to get out and enjoy the annual Irish Fest La Crosse.
Running from August 12-14, 2011, this popular Gaelic event will feature a wealth of exciting live performances, traditional Irish activities, and tasty Gaelic food and drink.
Designed to honor the spirit of the Emerald Isle, the La Crosse Irish Fest is great way to enjoy a unique summer weekend in Wisconsin.
Festival highlights will include live musical performances by The Elders, The Fuschia Band, and Patrick Bell. Other notable activities will include a harp competition on Saturday, the 13th, and Glencastle & Rince na Chroi Irish Dancers on Sunday, the 14th.
Local pubs involved in the festival will be serving up traditional Celtic grub, including bangers & mash, fish & chips, and beef tips cooked in barley-scented Guinness beer. Be sure to get out and meet people as you enjoy a great Irish meal (and a pint). This family-friendly festival also offers activities that are appropriate for all ages – including beginner fiddle lessons!
