Emmetsburg St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations

The Emmetsburg St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations will begin on Friday March 18. The festivities will commence at 9am in the Heritage Center for a Traditional Irish Cooking Contest followed by a Fish Fry and Meet and Greet Gary Dolphin at 5pm, in the VFW Hall and Wild Rose Casino, respectively. The evenings events will finish off with the Miss Shamrock Pageant at 7pm in the High School Auditorium.

Saturday will see Round the Loch Scholarship Run take place at 8.30am from the Smith Wellness Center. Beginning at 10am a number of entertainers will be around the town including Face-Painters, Balloon Makers, a Magician and more. There will also be Irish Stew and Food Vendors at the Multipurpose Center. The Parade will start at 1.30pm. Afterwards the Robert Emmet Reception will be held, also at the Multipurpose Center. There will be s Social Gathering at 3.30pm in the Emmetsburg Fire Station for everyone. There will be a free film at the Riveria Theatre at 3.30pm. The evening’s entertainment will commence at 7.30pm in the Community School with Tonic Sol-fa.

Rotary Pancake Breakfast will be held on Sunday morning at 8am in the VFW Hall. The Festival will then conclude with a Trap Shoot in the Sportsman Park between 12pm to 3pm. Everyone is encouraged to join in in the celebrations!
