About The Festival…
“TIF is recognized around the world as one of the premier locations for true Irish and Celtic performers. Over the past 28 years we have hosted some of the greatest of all Celtic musicians and in 2011 we welcome back some of our true friends as well as extending a warm Texas handshake to some that we have yet to impress.
As always we strive to maintain a balance between the headline musicians, the local and regional musicians, storytellers, dancers, educational workshops and cultural presentations. We trust that there is more than enough variety for everyone.
The national headline performers have been announced and full details are on the National page. Applications from local and regional performers are being reviewed during October and September and will be announced later in the year, along with dancers and other performers.”
This Year’s Theme Is, “Ireland, I Am Coming Home”…
For years, the North Texas Irish Festival has offered a taste of true Gaelic spirit…however, this year, organizers have really pulled out all the stops! They’ve chosen a theme that offers authentic Irish music and dance, as well as the popular Kilt Run and horse demonstrations attendees look forward to each year.
This wonderful festival is truly second to none. Archery competitions, traditional Irish dancers, a lively Celtic village filled with lovely Irish arts and crafts…these activities and performances are all designed to get you closer to your own Emerald Isle roots.
Visit the North Texas Irish Festival website to find out more…be sure to celebrate Saint Paddy’s day ( a little bit early) at this fun March celebration!
