Calendar of Celtic Festivals and Parades in the US

Irish ancestry is something to be proud of – celebrate it by attending an authentic Irish festival this year! All over the USA, Irish-Americans are getting together to experience the unique charms of Gaelic culture – festival music, dance, and arts & crafts honor the traditions of the Emerald Isle.

Parades, pancake breakfasts, live performances, and socializing are just a few highlights at one of these unforgettable events…

We know you’ll love everything Irish festivals have to offer…so we’ve made it easier for you to find out about every festival going on in America this year! Our handy calendar (below) lets you decide which festival works best with your schedule.

At the moment, we’re in the process of adding new events whenever we can find them. Some festivals for 2011 haven’t been announced yet – but they will be soon. We will update our calendar constantly to make it the most practical reference it can be. If you know about a wonderful Irish festival in your part of the United States, please drop us a line and we’ll add it to our new list: leighm@irishcelticjewels.com

To give you even more convenience, we’ve also added the Calendar Of Irish Festivals to our Facebook and Twitter pages – be sure to follow us for instant updates that will allow you to plan a fun outing (or two!) this year. Saint Patrick’s Day is on the horizon – use this special occasion to celebrate your Irish heritage – we’re here to help with our new list of every festival in America.

We’ve also created a full list of the Celtic festivals and parades that we’ve found on the Internet. You won’t find some of these festivals in our calendar above; that’s because they haven’t yet set a date for 2011. As soon as we know those dates, we’ll add the event to the calendar. You can check out the full list here.

  1. I too would like to submit the following Welsh Celtic Event:

2011 West Coast Eisteddfod: Welsh Festival of Arts
    Sept 23-25
Barnsdall Art Park, 4800 Hollywood Blvd., Hollywood, CA, 90027

Come celebrate Welsh culture with a free outdoor festival encompassing Welsh food and drink, traditional and contemporary music, lectures, crafts, classes including Welsh language instruction, Welsh mythology art show, Celtic marketplace, demonstrations in rugby, Welsh Corgis, genealogy, storytelling, meet the Red Dragon of Wales, Welsh-American traveling exhibit, tours of the Hollyhock House created by Welsh-American Frank Lloyd Wright, and much more!

Then in the Barnsdall Theatre – on Friday Sept 23 at 6pm will be the Opening Ceremony with a special druid blessing, Welsh Choir of Southern California, Michael Aston of Gene Loves Jezebel, Monica Richards/InfraWarrior, and Paul Child (voice of Welsh Rugby). On Saturday the 24th at 3pm will be the Eisteddfod (vocal competitions), and Sunday 25th at 1:30pm will be the Welsh film festival screening ‘Otherworld’, ‘Eldra’ and ‘Quarryman’.
