If you are familiar with the story of the Claddagh ring, you know just how romantic it really is: an Irish fisherman, Robert Joyce, was kidnapped by a goldsmith, long ago, and forced to work for him, far away from his home. He was separated from his true love, an Irish woman he never forgot, or stopped loving: he fashioned a special ring, to honor his undying loyalty to her.
