Cleveland Irish Cultural Festival – July 22 – 24, 2011

Posted on | June 27, 2011 | by Ciara O'Brien | 3 Comments

This July, Berea, Ohio will be home to a thriving, volunteer-driven Irish festival that offers lots of exciting Gaelic music, dance, and culture.

Located at 164 Eastland Rd, this year’s Festival runs from July 22nd to July 24th, 2011. Three hundred volunteers are currently working hard to schedule an exciting event that honors Irish-Americans.

Highlights of this year’s Cleveland Irish Cultural Festival will include performances by the following Celtic musicians (to name just a few!): The High Kings, Eileen Ivers & Immigrant Soul, The Mickey Finns, and Scythian…these singers, fiddlers, and guitarists play in many different styles, but each genre is sure to have a distinct Celtic flavor!

Designed to provide a day of thrilling, Gaelic-inspired activities for all ages, this popular get-together is also a wonderful place for children to experience a little slice of their own family heritage.

At this year’s festival, kids can enjoy the Irish gift of gab by listening to some diverting storytelling that focuses on Irish humor and history; the Story Corner is packed with tales from the Emerald Isle’s rich culture.

Crafts, face painting, and Irish dance lessons are also available for little ones.

Traditional food, drink and socializing will be highlighted at this fun summer celebration…be sure to experience the wonders of a true Irish festival if you’re in Cleveland in late July!

A great selectiion of entertainment as always.
We have driven from Chicago for the last 12 years, with the exception of last year due to an operation.
I was surprised to find the handicapped parking at the Bagley street entrance had been removed. There was no provision for the handicapped, that had been provided in the past years. I did notice the event offcials used this space and they did not have any special needs. Is this practice going to continue. Please reply.

    Hi James,

The fairgrounds removed the handicap parking area; we rent the grounds for the weekend. I am not aware of any festival officials parking in this area, as we all park in a different lot. I will check into it tho, thanks for writing to us to let us know.
