Manhattan, Illinois is a wonderful place to celebrate Irish culture – this years, it also offers an amazing Irish festival, right around Saint Patrick’s Day.
For tourists and residents alike, this gathering of Irish-Americans is a perfect way to experience the music, dance, food and drink, and arts & crafts of the Emerald Isle.
The first Manhattan Irish Fest took place in 1995 – it was designed to honor and celebrate Irish heritage! This year, the festival runs on March 4th and 5th, 2011.
The Irish Fest is a wonderful way to enjoy some classic Irish sporting events – rugby games will be a highlight.
Fun for the whole family, this Gaelic Manhattan, Illinois celebration also offers activities for the little ones, including face-painting, an exciting parade, and games children will adore.
Brilliant Irish musicians, such as John Condran and The Ploughboys, add authentic Irish charm.
If you’re in Illinois this March, get out and enjoy this fun community event, while also connecting with your own Irish ancestry – visit the festival’s website for more information…

Thanks Doc for pointing this out. I’ve updated the post. We couldn’t find the state listed on the website and wrongly assumed it was Manhattan, NY!
