Located just ten miles outside of bustling Chicago, Illinois, Forest Park offers a yearly Saint Patrick’s Day parade that is fun for the whole family.
This year, the parade is scheduled for March 5, 2011, and it provides attendees with a wonderful, inspiring way to honor their own Irish heritage…
Bagpipers and marching bands will wind their way down Madison Street, proudly costumed in traditional Irish garb. Community businesses also participate, offering unique displays designed to delight the senses!
After the parade, the party continues in the high street – restaurants, pubs, and shops all celebrate the spirit of Saint Patrick.
Get together with a group of friends and make a day (and night!) of it – you’ll appreciate the joyous atmosphere and the unique charm of Gaelic culture. For more information, please visit the festival website.
