Alexandria, Virginia goes Irish on March 5th, 2011 – on this special date, Saint Patrick’s Day is celebrated a little early…with a fantastic parade that is a delight for all ages!
If you’re in the area in early March, plan to attend the festivities. Traditional Irish music, dance, costumes and marching bands will delight the eyes and ears.
You’ll be certain of some true Irish (and Southern!) hospitality, as Irish-Americans in this lovely community get together to honor their ancestry!
Last year, Old Town Alexandria was packed with happy revelers as the parade filled the high street. This year, you can expect more of the same…the popularity of this all-ages event grows yearly.
